係外國既情況係點呀。





前言
今次想分析下現有既技術，套用落現實既環境。
現時我地有兩大類睇片既習慣
1）VOD － video on demand, e.g. mytv, youku,  土豆, youtube, Hulu, Netflix
2）Live Streaming  - e.g. now 24 hrs news, mytv news, youtube Live, hktv

 我地會由live streaming開始講起。

 入正題

 現時大致有六種主流（常見）既網絡傳播協定
  1. Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) - iOS , OS X, QuickTime, Android
  2. Microsoft Smooth Streaming - NowTV Live, Window Phone
  3. Adobe Adaptive Dynamic Streaming - myTV
  4. MPEG DASH - not in the market yet. Open Protocol contribute by Google, MS, Adobe etc.
  5. Octoshape Multi-BitRate (UDP) - myTV
  6. RTMFP - similar to P2P but in lower aspect. Develop by Adobe.

 以上6種睇上去好似好多，實際用係我們日常生活主要係 1) 3)

 咁究竟佢地有咩分別喔？
係唔係apple HLS玩曬呀？
邊個最好呀？

    HLS係前身係咪HTTP Progressive Download

      回到舊時，progressive download 係major既方法 （當年youtube 都係用這個，android而家都係）
      算係前身啦～不過大家對象唔一樣
      例如做live既，PD 係做唔到～
      PD 到最後會有個media file store係client side，（冇DRM Control）
      etc ，我地會係VOD section 再提起～
